So that just means they have started processing your background check (it signifies a milestone). Now when you login ECAS, it will indicate the date that has happened, “we started processing your application on [month day, year]” I don’t know if this is the background check for the Sponsor or...

Congratulations! I didn’t know the office was open on weekends.

    *JUNE 2019* INLAND Spousal Sponsorship

For those who haven’t received their OWP yet and were asking if they could withdraw the OWP application since they will be granted PR status anyways. There maybe implications if you do that prior to being interviewed. I read this post on the May forum...

    *JUNE 2019* INLAND Spousal Sponsorship

I am not sure if the only requirements to apply for OHIP before being a PR are a work permit and SIN. I remember that at least two Service Ontario agents specified to me that in addition to an OWP and a SIN the applicant will need to have been employed full time for a period of at least 6 months...

    *JUNE 2019* INLAND Spousal Sponsorship

I believe by now you should have gotten an email stating that your application has been received (what is known as AOR). You should have also by now gotten approval for your OWP, although it remains that some June applicants haven’t gotten theirs until now. I think also most of us have received...

    *JUNE 2019* INLAND Spousal Sponsorship

So the spousal tracking spreadsheet has an Inland Summary worksheet which can give a good idea about typical waiting times (maximum, minimum and average) for PRA milestones, for those who are interested. I managed to fix the links in the formulas for the June section. But the other months are...

    *JUNE 2019* INLAND Spousal Sponsorship

Looks like we will be receiving AIP / SA / DM updates soon, since May applicants have received theirs already!

    *JUNE 2019* INLAND Spousal Sponsorship

It hasn’t happened to me, but I would bring the printout with you anyway and also try to download the PDF and email it to them while you are there, maybe then can take down the necessary info from the form. Best of luck!

So before it was sent it said “action required” then when they received it it changed to “submitted” then after you passed it said “passed”?

    *JUNE 2019* INLAND Spousal Sponsorship

How do you know you passed the medical? I would assume ‘submitted’ only means they have received the file, no?

****MAY 2019 Inland Spousal PR + OWP****

I’m not sure if you know this but there is a spreadsheet where many of us have documented and are continuously updating our timelines. It will give you a pretty good idea of where the bulk stands. Here it is: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Gm315tmNKWoywb7PwZBiE67fUmznYQrNhYVWXPXXJBw...

    *JUNE 2019* INLAND Spousal Sponsorship

Does anyone know if you’re supposed to get an email notification that the background check has started? When I signed into the CIC we ate to view details of our PR application, under Background Check it read: “We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more...

    *JUNE 2019* INLAND Spousal Sponsorship

It takes a week on average for the letter to arrive by mail. I think if it doesn’t arrive in a month you should call. Check the email that was sent to you for next steps....

    *JUNE 2019* INLAND Spousal Sponsorship

I have a question on how the OWP serves as an extension to the temporary resident visa (TRV). So my spouse is on a TRV and her Visa stamp expired (it has been more than 6 months). Is having a passport with an expired TRV + OWP enough for travel? Or is another document/stamp required now after...

Do we apply for the SIN through Service Canada? Can we apply online? I presume it will be a temporary one....

Possibly. Try using the "Google Sheets" app on your phone...I think you may need to login using gmail/google credentials.
