Called IRCC today. Agent said all stages passed except security which isn't started. The wait continues.

I am aware. I already sent the requested documents for stage 2 approval which was received today. The call center agent also mentioned that the background check is in process. My questions were if anyone had knowledge of a split background check and if this stage means final approval is close.

That's terrible advice. You should be self supporting and not on social assistance/receiving welfare benefits of any kind. It does not help your application.

I agree with EFK. Most likely it just expired, hence them needing one now.

Did you do your last medicals within the past 5 years? I read about a public policy that expires Oct 2024 where PR applicants IN Canada that were classed low risk after their last IME within 5 years don't need to do them again.

Please if you did FBI Identity Summary (Police Clearance) recently for Stage 2 approval, how long did it take them to respond after mailing the fingerprint card?

Hello again, My AIP says I will receive an email with medical forms. But previously the call centre said no medicals were needed. Do I just wait for the email still? Also how long after submitting the required documents does one usually get a final decision? Thanks in advance.

None of that. I suspect the pending PRRA aided in the processing. Cause there was a pending removal order halted by the PRRA.
