Does cic send an email that the card is mailed if the status cant be checked online? did this happen to the people that got their card on here?

what are the chances of them knowing the person is outside canada? how could they tell if the person is not in canada?

I checked out that link and yes, looks like i am the third or fourth person who has come across this no show status. However, my case went in dec11, 2015. So i am not sure whats goig on. They are from january..

Neither have I recieved it. Its been over 16 months for me. 13 is not suprising lol.

Okay and would cic know the person whos pr they are mailing is outside canada ?

What if the relative take the PR Card with them physically back to the native country and give it to the original person in that country?? is that legal and okay? would there be any issues ?

No. Dont play a guessing game. Some people who applied for renewal in feb 2015 are stuck as well. So, the ratio is going to be close to 2 years more like so. Dont rely on "18 months".
