In process means your file is transferred to your local office. They have changed the processing after the implementation of C24.

It is better to state as "common law", in the new application form you have to provide SIN number, so when CIC checks with CRA, CRA will tell CIC that your husband has filed tax as "common law"...

Usually they don't send RQ or Fingerprint requests in the same day when they start processing! Probably there is some information/document missing and that's why they have sent you a letter! You shouldn't worry at all...

I was unemployed for a long time, so I'm expecting RQ. Where can I find the latest version of CIT 0520? I just want to prepare documents in case I get one.. :o

Just one thing you should know, the new rule applies to all citizens, they don't care if you are already a citizen or applying for citizenship tomorrow, the only difference is in the new applicants have to wait 4 years, other sections of the law applies to all citizens :)
