    BIL

It can take a while. We paid the biometrics 30th April and didn't get the request until 21st June. I'd give it another month before you start getting really worried.

    When to expect Application Number?

All that info will be contained in the AOR email, which goes to the sponsor. Currently I think AOR is being received anywhere from 40-60 days after applications have been received. Good luck!

    Application OUTSIDE Canada

+1 to what Bs65 said. If you're a citizen, you've got a lot more freedom and can initiate the process from outside of Canada if needed. And there is nothing to stop you from entering Canada or moving there during the process, you will just need to update CIC when you have a change of address...

    Spouse visa

Unfortunately no one can tell you anything for certain, everyone's case progresses differently. Hopefully it reassures you to know that there are plenty of people who have been waiting a while at Sydney too. Maybe reassure isn't the right word, but more just help you feel like it isn't...

    APRIL 2019 *OUTLAND* SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP

The way your application gets processed depends on a lot of different things -- the PA's country, how many other countries they've lived in, the relative complexity of your situation, the visa officer that gets assigned to your application, among others. It's definitely not done on a first come...

    JULY 2019 *OUTLAND* SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP

I felt like that pretty much every day until we got AOR! It's like you can't help go over every detail and panic that you forgot something, or could have just added one more document... But I just kept trying to tell myself that even if they sent the application back, it wasn't the end of the...

    why include all the family?>

We had that problem, my husband has some half-siblings that are estranged from the family so getting info about them was hard. We were initially going to write a short explanation and include it with the application, but in the end he reached out to his half-sister and she was able to share the...

I'm not sure I understand what you're asking? Correspondence simply means they sent you a message, usually by email.

Ugh I'm sorry to hear that, wishing you the best with your application. Sadly yes, much of this process is just waiting to see what happens

There is! https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/cairo-visa-office.69666/page-423 You can ask people in there about their experiences with the Cairo VO

There's a thread specifically for people who have had their files transferred to the New Delhi office, so you might find that one useful. I'm not sure that anyone from this thread has had any final decisions from New Delhi, but I might be mistaken. But for sure go find that NDVO thread, the...

I don't know, but maybe someone else on the forum does. You might get more responses if you post your question as its own thread. I would imagine that his correspondence makes it clear whether or not you need to be there, but he could always try calling CIC to find out.

Sent application to Sydney PO Box tracked and signed but hasn't been picked up

Yes hopefully your application was received and they just haven't got round to sending you the email yet! I've had success calling from outside of Canada with Skype, I bought some credits to use their phone service. Not got any experience with Skype for business so nothing helpful for that...

It's hard to say without anymore details about your case. I know that dependents don't have to land at the same time as the principal applicant, but I am unsure how that changes with an interview. You should check as to whether or not your presence is required, it should hopefully clarify that...

DM on Ecas but GCKey says 8 month wait

I believe that if you are from a country that is visa-exempt (like the Netherlands!) you only have to send in photocopies of your passport. They'll give you full instructions though.

DM on Ecas but GCKey says 8 month wait

GCKey just defaults to the standard 12 month waiting time and counts down from that, its estimate is not based on anything meaningful. It's pretty useless in that regard! If you have Decision Made in ECAS, that means you are almost there! You should receive your passport request soon. Congrats!!

Sent application to Sydney PO Box tracked and signed but hasn't been picked up

Right now it looks like it's taking people between 40 to 60 days to get the Acknowledgement of Receipt email, so you're at the point where I'd start keeping a look out for that in the sponsor's inbox! But might still not hear anything until toward the end of July if they received it on the 10th...

    Biometrics

It's just telling you that the biometrics stuff was received by CIC. If you scroll down to the section that says "Details about your application status" you should see that the Biometrics section says "Complete" now. When people talk about "passing" biometrics, it just means that the info has...

    APRIL 2019 *OUTLAND* SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP

Yep, that means you passed. Not that I've seen anyone "fail" the biometrics, I don't think you can :P But yes, that means the information was received by CIC successfully!
