July 2020, Inland Spousal PR Applications

Status is only implied if your partner also applied for Open Work Permit, but the recommendation is to re-extend anyways because we don't know when our open work permit will be approved. Personally, I applied for a visitor visa extension last month just to be safe.

You can use this questionnaire here if he needs to give them again or not. If it says he doesn't need to give it again, then I'm assuming that you don't have to worry about the fee. I believe almost everyone will receive this biometrics fee reminder letter regardless if they paid or not.

If you've already paid for biometrics, then don't worry about the letter. But it's a good sign things are moving!

Are you sure it's a request? Or is it the biometrics fee reminder letter? A lot of the applicants March-June have been getting them.

So I believe you have implied status as a visitor until a decision is made on your OWP. I looked up this article here, it does say that you do need to cease studies related to your study permit but also says you cannot work or study until a decision is made.

Requesting visitor record extension for more than six months?

    1. I submitted a digital photo since I apply online. 2. My husband is currently mostly supporting me so I submitted a couple of his paystubs. For you, I think they prefer a bank statement of your current funds.

As a principal applicant, do I need to write a cover letter or explanation letter under inland sponsorship application?

I have a submitted application and did not write a cover letter. The only things I wrote letters for was for lacking a couple pieces of proof of shared finances and whatnot. I also made a table of contents for all of the proof of relationship stuff. As far as I can tell, a lot of people didn't...

Requesting visitor record extension for more than six months?

Nah, no conditions that I had to meet on my part. Of course it is expected to leave at the end of your extension unless you request another I imagine. I don't think I will be denied another extension considering I have an application for sponsorship and OWP pending. I do come from the US where...

Requesting visitor record extension for more than six months?

We applied for spousal sponsorship, both of us got married a few months before I arrived in Canada. I think I will apply for a year, I'll let everyone know the outcome in case someone comes searching for an answer like this :)

Requesting visitor record extension for more than six months?

Hey there, I have been in Canada since September 2019, I'm a US citizen. I requested an extension in February 2020 and received approval for an additional six months in June. My spouse and I have mailed our sponsorship & OWP application in the mail just over a week ago. I understand the IIRC is...
