Decreased CRS points after improving CLB

Yes it does, you also lose points because of your age increasing. See details of how CRS is calculated here: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/become-candidate/criteria-comprehensive-ranking-system/grid.html

    Express Entry in a nutshell

But what would be the point of this? The spouse with the higher score (CRS) should be the principal applicant since ITA's are sent according to score. Unless you are aiming at different PNP's due to your different professions or something like that, I don't see how having 2 EE profiles provides...

Information on ITA's Issued: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/become-candidate/rounds-invitations.html On average the draw is every 2 weeks, with some exceptions (last time there was a 3 week gap)

There are no set dates for Ontario to select profiles and send NOI. Check here frequently to see if there are news of selections: http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/en/pnp/OI_PNPNEW.html Also it seems to be a bit of a mystery how Ontatio chooses profiles, if it's just based on CRS or if they...

Yes you get 15 points for your sister in law if she is currently living in Canada. When creating your profile and entering your wife's details you'll be asked if she has a sibling, etc who is a Canadian citizen or PR.

I guess that description is only for the core points in education? Anyway, I can confirm that they do give you the 50 points because my husband has a bachelor's and a master's, CLB 9 and his profile has the 50 transferability points.

Oh I thought you meant the core points. In skill transferability of course they count masters and bachelor as 2 certificates. You get the maximum points depending on your CLB (50 if you have a masters and CLB 9 or more). So yeah in that area masters gets you the same as bachelors and a certificate.

Masters gets you 135 points (or 126 if married), while 2 or more certificates gets you 128 (119 if married). The points given are for the highest degree achieved, not the sum of all degrees.

It will drop on that day. My husband's birthday was a few days ago, I checked his profile on his birthday and the points had already dropped.

I did do the math, but we get a few more points with him as main applicant. Also I just checked the detailed CRS criteria and in our particular case by being married he loses 16 points, but then he gets 15 more for my PR brother, and 28 for my degree and IELTS. So all in all, he comes out on...

Ok, my apologies. I won't jump into a discussion in a public thread again. You asked who the hell is qualified and with no recent work experience, so I just wanted to give you a RL example of that particular situation that you mentioned and regarded as highly unlikely. Bowing out now. P.S. just...

There are so many possibilities, it has to be evaluated on a case by case basis. For example: I have a Bachelor's degree, CLB 10, but no work experience in the last 5 years, because I left my job to care for our kids while they were still young, and just now looking to get back into the...

Start by reading the details of each PNP program to figure our if you're elegible for any of them (the links to each province's program is on this page): https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/provincial-nominees/eligibility.html

On this page you'll find the links to all PNP programs, except Quebec (they have their own program separate from Express Entry but you can check it out, too). Some provinces require a valid job offer for nomination, some do not. You can read about each program in detail in their websites...

    how to increase CRS score?

Taking the IELTS again to increase your score to CLB 9 or 10 is what usually has the greatest impact. A valid job offer with LMIA also works but it's not that easy to get. Other ideas: if you don't have a post-graduate degree, you could pursue that, but that takes longer; learn french well...

I'm thinking OINP might be our best shot. Does anyone know if Ontario sends NOI based only on CRS score? Or do they take NOC into consideration and if so which ones? My husband, main applicant, has worked in 3 different NOCs in the last 8 years, and I'm wondering if choosing one as the...
