Do you guys think there is ANY chance of the new law be applied to applications that are already at CIC but didn't get the AOR yet?

Please don't do that to yourself. You really need to complete 1095 days BEFORE applying. You are going to have way more problems applying before the days completion than if you have to apply under the new law. "You must have resided in Canada for at least three years (1,095 days) in the past...

Well... I think it always has been like this. They ask your permission in form to gather the information. I suspect they will just request this information from CBSA if something is not very clear on our inbound and outbound history.

CIC dos not require we to get information from CBSA. They ask your permission to check your infomation with CBSA.

If acquiring the Canadian citizenship is what is stopping you from leaving the country, I say let's make a huge campaign to CIC to give you these papers ASAP so we can get rid of you. Good riddance.
