I got my PCC under 4 days from Chicago consulate. Please go to Embassy at the earliest, and explain your case. My guess is you should be getting under 2 weeks, provided your passport is issued from a major city in India. Again, you can write them an email or go in person, and ask the same.

Embassy will not notify you on the status of your visa or if they have sent back your passport. If you have sent them a prepaid envelope with tracking, you can keep on checking the status of whether embassy have returned your documents to postoffice. Good luck!

I just got notification from USPS stating they are delivering my passport back today. Embassy in NY got it on Nov 16, and hopefully i would get my passport with Visa stamped today.

I got the same email from "re-cngny-immigration@international.gc.ca" . I submitted my application on Nov 15, and i am hoping them to send me my documents by Dec 17 as i have to travel around Dec 22. Will keep you updated as soon as i get docs back.
