Mee too..I went on vacation for a month..and there are short trips on Business... I am composing a mail to my MP...my MP was not useful so far in my earlier requests..but let me try.. I suggest you also do the same if you are in Canada....that is only our option as of now....

I do not think they will contact your employer at this stage.... when I said security check they might be checking with other agencies regarding your short travel history which you did not mentioned in the application... not employment history...

it looks like replying to mails are carried in a round robin...if they reply to your first mail they won't reply to your second unless they are expecting some answers from you.....they only reply once they finish replying others mail.... this is my understanding...but I observed that they in...

That is what unknown. and you are not alone. either they are doing additional security checks or our packages were abandoned and started working now....god know what is going on. hope every thing will be sorted out soon....

never ever think of calling CIC...it is useless...they do not have any idea and access to our files. particularly Ottawa. it is our bad luck that we got into Ottawa mess...people who sent passports to New-york and other got with in two weeks... I will see today and request my MP to check on...

somewhere in other forums I red about this..one guy contacted his MP and they told their MP about this. that is possible...they may get suspicious about your passport entries and wanted to clarify before issuing... in general we do not enter entries of short period travels... I have few entries...

May be you are correct. I also got a same reply again for my previous e-mail that the passports are received and can't determine the time to finalize the application..... if your theory is correct we both should receive our passports back by this week end..... Syed

it is Decision made. i guess Decision made is not like final stage.. in this stage they may call for an interview or either accept or reject the application....... If I am correct they are doing background checks again..... Syed

By tomorrow it is going to be two months. total 8 weeks and no update from them..... it looks like CIC sent out passport requests without checking every thing to keep us quite for a while.... I am going to apply for GCMS again and see if there is any useful info.
