    hi as mr hope said both are cold ,but Calgary does get Chinook winds which increases the temp in the winter months and the rockies are closer to Calgary then to Edmonton so you can have good weekend trip ne time u decide . cheers

    public transport is not that bad its workable but its a challenge in the winters thought the bus timings are quite accurate but if u will totally depend on them better find a place with good connectivity and near a bus top cheers
