hello friends

I landed in May 2013 @ Toronto, in accountant noc 0111

did survival jobs, searched for related jobs simultaneously, couldn't succeed, so enrolled in jan. 2014 @ George Brown College in Financial Planning course (C S C certification included), which is ending in august, next month.

now, this course is required by banks to sell their products, likes Securities, Funds, etc.

there is a demand, however to get a job in banks in Toronto is really not easy.

I NEED YOUR EFFECTIVE AND GENUINE SUGGESTION.

should I try in Toronto for another 4 months for a job in banks or should I move to Calgary?

I have skills in bookkeeping and factory supervisor as well.

will Calgary offer me a related job quicker than Toronto?

people here say, Toronto has much more branches of banks, so more chances, which is Debatable though.

I really don't wanna waste time, as I have hardly earned and saved, rather I have a small student loan too.

Thanks a lot.
Anil.

If I were you, I would probably continued to work to get on the monthly bills and complete the course in august. In the mean time, collect resources as much as possible for succeeding a job. I say this as you have already invested some quality amount of time to get your course done and from you we hear Toronto holds more jobs in your line of work, so why head to a new place without giving your best shot at Toronto.

Re: Calgary or Toronto for Bank jobs? for a Torontonian.

Thank you Mr. Hope.

Yes I will complete my course.

My knowledge is insufficient regarding, which city has more possibilities of getting my foot in the door of a Bank.

I don't want to waste time in sitting in a city where the probabilities are lesser.

For that purpose, I am looking for suggestions.

Hi,

Banks generally prefer CSC from CSI.If you complete CSC ,I think definately you will get FSR job in bank.

Mr Sub,

CSC too will be cleared.

thing is, bank jobs are available throughout canada,
my motive is to enter the job, asap.

toronto has all sorts of jobs for sure, however, not easy to get.......unless you know people inside or your are too lucky.
