Size issue while uploading documents after ITA, portal only allow 4 MB

Do you think it would be fine if I uploaded large size PDFs on GoogleDocs and provide links in the PDF that I upload to e-Application?

Size issue while uploading documents after ITA, portal only allow 4 MB

I may try this, but I am not sure it will work... I have already tried the following: 1- Reduce size with Acrobat Pro 2- Reduce size with online tools 3- Open with Photoshop, reduce image size and resolution. Not cutting it for me... Maybe I should write to CIC and ask their opinion? Does...

Size issue while uploading documents after ITA, portal only allow 4 MB

Doesn't work. Already compressed with Acrobat Pro.

Size issue while uploading documents after ITA, portal only allow 4 MB

Nope, it doesn't work... I reduced image size and resolution to a point that the wording is barely legible, but it is still 190KB per page... Don't know what to do. Why would you set a limit as low as 4MB?! Incredible!

Size issue while uploading documents after ITA, portal only allow 4 MB

th1nk1n, I came here to say that it didn't work; my documents were still above 10MBs let alone 4MB, despite I compressed them like hell with Acrobat Pro. And I came across your suggestion. Trying it right away!

    Part time self-employment

Yes, if you cannot substantially prove your work history with enough hours to make a difference, don't even bother and add it to personal history.

Size issue while uploading documents after ITA, portal only allow 4 MB

What if I ended up with a 50-page PDF file for proving my work experience (self-employed with tens of reference letters+tax certificate+bank statements etc.) and downsizing is not enough to shrink the file below 4MB?

    Part time self-employment

Oh, you are in Canada. Well, I apply from outside Canada as FSW and my humble expertise would cover only that. But still, any job that matches your declared NOC Code should give you points. I invite more informed members for help. Best of luck to you.

No notarised copies of English documents?

The same goes for reference letters written in English, right?

No notarised copies of English documents?

I am sorry if I am being paranoid and repetitive, but I just need to shake off this shred of doubt: I am post-ITA and about to submit documents to CIC. Could someone please confirm that I don't need to scan notarized copies of documents such as passport or marriage certificate which are both in...

    Part time self-employment

If you are claiming points for your self-employment (if it matches your main NOC code), you may list it in your work history as a separate job. In this case, the system will require proof of self-employed work experience separately when it creates a document checklist for you. And yes, you will...

A question about basic FSW requirements

What I mean is I am a self-employed translator, and I have been running my own agency for the last 4 years. The agency is not a limited company so it is a self-employed enterprise in my own name. I am still personally translating and editing etc., all that jazz described in my NOC. Now, I have...

A question about basic FSW requirements

Here is a though one. To be eligible under FSW program, do you have to intend to work in a payroll job in Canada as a skilled worker? This is as opposed to, for say, intending to pursue your self-employed career in Canada. After all, self-employed work history is accepted as work experience...

    Strange Document Checklist

Well, okay then... But then again, why does CIC not mention specifically that you are only supposed to fill this section if you are claiming points? They don't say that. I feel like I am trying to cut corners, and that is never any good. On the other hand, we cannot find my wife's diplomas. She...

    Strange Document Checklist

Thanks guys. @JoacRy, about items 4 & 5, are you sure that won't constitute misrepresentation or problems to a lesser degree? It is really strange for CIC to not think of these things... I know for a fact that in 2014 when we applied they didn't require any employment letters or proof of...

    Strange Document Checklist

I have just completed filling out the application form after ITA, and got my document checklist. It looks pretty strange: 1- Requires multiple PCCs, but I haven't lived in another country for more than 6 months. 2- Requires multiple National ID, I only have one. 3- Requires multiple Passports...

People went ahead with this approach you mention, and they got their PRs, right? I just want to double confirm :)
