When did you send the application? Same thing happened with me, I sent my application on 7th Nov with whatever the latest form was available and after 8th few forms were changed. My application was received on 14th Nov and I received AOR on 19th December. Hopefully you should be getting your...

Or apply for a new passport here. Takes about 15 days minimum if applying in Toronto. You can apply for a new passport if it is about to expire in next one year.

Theoretically yes, mine was returned from consulate to BLS in 5 working days, but incompetent BLS people messed up and didn't update the status in their system for 2-3 weeks. Had to go personally to the BLS center and inquire about the status, somehow they managed to find my passport with PCC...

Yes they send the passport to the Indian consulate. It is returned along with your PCC.

This may not be true, I came on closed WP to Canada in Apr 12 along with my wife who had Visitor Visa. After coming here she applied for her open work permit. Her application was approved and she received her open work permit in Nov 12.

So far no AOR for anyone whose application was received after 8th Nov. Hopefully they should start coming soon.

Sent my application on 7th Nov through regular post. Not knowing when the application would have reached CIO, is adding another level of anxiety. Should have opted xpress-post. Any idea how long it takes for Canada-Post to deliver mail from Toronto to NS through regular post?
