How can a long processing time tie an outland applicant to the province?

Are you inland? If you are, it's taking too long for you indeed... Do you know where is your file? which office? If you are outland I think you are on track.

Yes, officer gave similar information when I called 3 weeks ago. Said that my security is done but background still in process. She also mentioned that security is part of background check, which includes other things.

Got pre-arrival today. Timeline as follows: AR Aug 13 AOR Sep 10 MR May 9 2019 MP June 7 Ghost update June 7 Pre arrival July 4

Usually background check is the last step. If your security and background is clear, then that's a good sign. Unfortunately it's hard to find out. Agents give conflicting information. You can request gcms notes.

Could still take one more year or a month. It's hard to predict. There are applicants from 2017 who are still waiting. Others with AOR Aug 2018 already received PPR. Depends on your case, on your office, etc.

I'm AOR Sep 10 and called there last week but the lady got me confused... At first she said security is done but background check is in process. Then she said that security is part of background check which is in process. So I'm assuming it's in process and not completed. I got a ghost update...

My timeline is similar. App received Aug 10 AOR Sep 13 MR May 09 MD May 21 MP I think it was June 07 Ghost update June 07 No pre arrival received. Inland applicant. Called last week officer said background is in process and that includes security.

Im AR early August and AOR early September. Got MR May 9. MP early June. Had a ghost update on the same day I saw medical passed in the account. I don't know if they are related. Also my medical says it was passed last year in October... is this a common system error?
