Hi Friends, Is it possible to apply for an OCI in Canada with an Australian passport ?. I am in Australia and just received my Aus passport and will be moving to Canada in September(first week). The timeline provided here is 8-10 weeks and clearly it clashes with my travel dates.

I recently got my Australian Citizenship(21May) and the whole process took close to 4 months. On the other hand it has been 7 months since my wife has applied for Canadian Citizenship and she has by luck reached to fingerprinting stage. Very inefficient and slow system Canada has to offer.

We got the letter sent by CIC and it turns out to be a fingerprints request. We have booked for an appointment tomorrow and hope this this gets resolved soon. BTW, we got the request from St-clair office but our office is Hamilton.
