    If the CIC is not satisfied, then unfortunately, they might require a hearing with the citizenship judge? If so, then that might take 12-18 months to schedule the hearing.

    RQ processing time at St. Clair office

    It appears from my own experience that RQ review could take upto one year. Also, just because I got RQ, it took 4 months after CJ's approval - compared to non-RQ applicants being given oath invite right on the day of the oath (for next week oath). All in all, the RQ cost me 16-18 months.

    Pre-test RQ applications are approved by the CIC and the citizenship judge within 3 months from the test, if the CIC is satisfied with the RQ response. As regards post-test RQ, I know somebody who is waiting since more than 2 years after submission of RQ.

    Applied in January 2012. RQ in November 2012. Test March 2014. Approved and ceremony ready June 2014. Had applied with over 1200 physical days.

    Hi Kdta, My application was approved in June 2014 first week, and transferred to Scarborough (ceremony ready) in June second week. Still waiting for oath invite. It is already six months after the test. So, nobody knows how long it takes. Wishing you an oath invitation very soon.

    Hi All, I had my test in March 2014 (Pre-test RQ). ATIP report shows that the citizenship judge approved the application and it was granted in June 2014. Till date, I am waiting for the invite for the oath ceremony.
