    Case Specific Enquiry

Is the application number the file number? My husband is sending an enquiry, but we don't have a UCI for him, just for me (the sponsor). So I wanted to put the application number in, but I only see an entry for 'file number'. That the same?

    Conjugal Partnership Help

Why deadbeat? Just get married and apply outland. It'll take about 6 months and she can work in the US.

    US outland applicants' thread :)

I think it might be a time thing. She also told me she came across on the express program cause they were 'already married before' so I figured her info probably wouldn't apply to me..

    CPP-Ottawa

I feel like I've asked this, but I might have imagined I did because I can't remember the definitive answer. Sorry if it's annoying: There is NO way to know if Ottawa got the FBI I sent them, short of them accepting/rejecting the app, correct? And by got it I mean it got to the right desk and...

    Conjugal Partnership Help

I agree with Scylla. You don't face the kind of barriers the conjugal program is designed for. Our marriage was like.. I don't remember how much, but it wasn't very much, haha. The smartest thing would be to get married at a small civil ceremony like we did, and then plan for your bigger...

    US outland applicants' thread :)

I was talking to someone who immigrated from the states today, and they were like 'oh when your husband gets his paper permanent residency (which I took to mean COPR) make sure you go through the Buffalo border cause then you'll get the stamp right away without having to wait the 6 weeks!' I...

    Post IP blues?

I imagine it's a lot easier if you don't check eCas every day. Hard not to though. Also, being away from husband for 3 days on business when he's leaving Canada on Monday sucks. Thinking about Monday is giving me anxiety :(

Actually from what I've seen closer to 5 October folk have gotten DM, just not all of them have updated their spreadsheet. So we may be 2-3 months from DMs!

    Post IP blues?

I understand that stuff, I obsess about things too. Often all night. When I didn't get AOR are people who applied after were, it did really bother me. It was hard to feel happy for them, but I understood why they were excited. I come on the forums to answer questions and give advice from my...

how to fill out PR checklists properly - PLEASE HELP ASAP

There's varied thoughts on this. For like the common law thing just leave it blank. They get that that's N/A. If youre leaving a required question blank, like postal code, I'd write N/A. if it fills grey on it own, leave it blank. Did I miss any?

DECEMBER 2015 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

The avg AOR to SA is 10 days. Avg for AOR is 54. So you're not that far past the averages. You'll get SA this week, both of you. Mondays are slow.

DECEMBER 2015 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

You'll still need it to travel even after you get PR, PR doesn't allow you to get a Canadian Passport. So I'd renew.
