So I don't think you need to email them... Mine was not upfront as well and I didn't send them anything after I did. A week later my ECAS showed medicals received.

My notes were also delayed. I sent them an email and they acknowledged that was overdue and said they would give priority to it. Received the notes 2 days after that!
