Based on what i have read on forums, this is really good news. If you have submitted your passport and all info they needed, you are almost done this long procedure. so lucky. alf mabrook. now i heard from here on they just sit on the visa part of another 2-3 months.

I sent my application on May 1st and it got there on the 6th. 4 days later i received confirmation that i have been approved as a sponsor.

so, for those that still check or read this forum. i have sent my wifes sponsership package last week and got approved for the first step this week. the site indicates that it could take up to 28 days.

has anyone heard of any cases where the sponsorship times are less then what is currently advertised on the Canadian immigration site?

would anyone advice if its worth it to apply for my wife to come as a visitor after i have applied to sponsor her?
