I just called CIC to withdraw mine. The call center person can do it.

Hey man, I always called them and they were able to provide me the required information on the phone. I am not sure if meeting would do any extra help or not.

Just google MP (Member of Parliament) for your city. Give them a call on the contact number given. They will ask you for your postal code to verify if you live in the area of that MP. I just gave them a call and asked for the status of my application. I didn't go in person.

I am not sure if its true or not for everyone, but when I contacted my MP for the first time, I got MR in 10 days. The second time I contacted them and got PPR in 2 days. Not sure if contacting a MP triggers the process but just wanted to share my experience.
