For info - I just returned from a local police station in Calgary and they no longer to fingerprinting for RCMP checks. I need to find one of the companies that do digital fingerprinting...

    RCMP Request - questions

Jes_ON thank you, your information is very helpful. Trust me it would be easier to win the lottery than to find someone with the exactly same name as I do (multiple surnames) even on my home country, so to find one that happens to be in a criminal database in Canada, is nearly impossible. I'm...

Simultaneous application (BOTH CEC and EE CEC)

Processing time for old CEC applications is currently 14 months, so if you applied in July 2014, the 14 months have already passed. You should be close to getting PR via this application. (also, i believe you can now contact them to see if there's any issues - not sure how this works in the old...

AOR in September Let's Connect here

yes, if I recall correctly, I entered no in that question and explained it in the LOE that i was doing that it was because i could not prove this work experience and it did not affect my EE points.

    RCMP Request - questions

Hi, I just received an email from CIC, with RCMP request today (exactly one month after 1st AOR). Oddly, it only asks for RCMP check for myself (PA) and not for my wife. Question 1: Did anyone have any similar experiences ? Should I include my wife as well or only do it for myself ...

Hi, Just received an email from CIC, with RCMP request today (exactly one month after 1st AOR). Oddly, it only asks for RCMP check for myself (PA) and not for my wife. Did anyone have any similar experiences ? Secondly, the RCMP requests the address of the visa office handling my...

AOR in September Let's Connect here

I did exactly the same and do not see this as misrepresentation. I also see several members in this forum doing the same. I did this to declare my wife work experience without claiming any points for her, since we cannot prove any of her experience. I believe others have done for the same reason.

    Bowp - paper or online

Given current processing times, you may very well receive your PR before your BOWP. It currently 110 - 132 days for a work permit, and getting worse every week. You need to consider if it is worth the time and money of applying for BOWP given that.

Urgent question regarding PoF - Asivad and other experts!!

RBC did one for me, but it doesn't have the 6 months average neither it meets all the specifications. The teller printed an overview of my accounts and stamped it. I also included 6 months statements for all my accounts (checking, savings, TFSA and investing account). 91 pages in total. I...

    Spouse open Work Permit

I used the 5710, which is for the work permit. The 5257 comes later when you apply for a TRV (if you need one). I'm in Canada so I can only apply for the TRV once I receive the work permit. If you're outside Canada you may be able to apply for both at the same time

    Spouse open Work Permit

I can vouch for what maverick85 said. I'm in similar situation, and had applied for my wife OWP at the same time (back in April). There was an issue with my company work permit application, so my wife OWP wasn't approved until this issue was resolved. She maintained implied status the whole...

Advice: urgently required on application details

One option is to exclude it from work experience, but mention it under personal experience. This way you're not require to provide an employment letter, but can add a LOE explaining this story. You may have a payslip or any doc that shows you did work there, if you do, please attach to prove it...

Express entry profile submitted, paid fee, says ITA Expired, urgent help

So you did take new IELTS but got a lower score ? if your new CRS score (based on recent but lower IELTS) is still above the cut off for the draw you're invited, you can still use it. You don't need to maintain the same score, you only to stay above the cut off point. If this is the case, send...

Express entry profile submitted, paid fee, says ITA Expired, urgent help

Exactly First line is your application for PR which has been submitted. I wouldn't bother with the 2nd, it is just your EE profile, which is not needed. Did your IELTS just expire ? This could be the reason perhaps

EE Processing Time Calculator & General Statistics

I don't think the processing time has anything to do with being favoured or not. It only reflects how many checks the officer has to do, the more, the longer it will take. They probably start processing at about the same time, but inland applications need more checks so it takes longer. CIC...
