I am post doc too with foreign and Canadian work experience. IELTS 8.0 average + ECA. My score is currently 459 and probably have some chance to get an ITA. However, I have some other postdoc friends who only score 200+ due to age. I strongly think CIC should gives us at least 200 pts for being...

You should get an email from CIC. Usually it means they just took a look at your profile unless it is something that changed your score such as your birthday, then the update is done automatically by their system.

I got four emails from cic this week stating updates in my cic profile. I think that means there will be a draw tonight. This is wild guess so take it with a grain of salt.

I got a PhD so I just selected that one. Try the CRS calculator, it gave me a good idea of what score to expect.

As I thought, I got my ECA today (Thursday May 7), which bumped my score to 459. There might be a draw tomorrow night. Good luck everyone!

It seems to me that CIC is pressuring WES to process as many ECAs as possible for next week's draw (if there is one). I am seeing many people posting that their completion date disappeared from WES website. Usually that means we will all get our ECA Wed or Thru next week. IMMO, this means there...

I hope the draw will be next week as my ECA status just went back to Evaluation in progress w/o a date today. After reading some previous post on WES I am confident to get the ECA next week on Wed or Thru.

My docs reached wes on April 13th and today they update the status to estimated completion date: May 27th. I am really hoping to get the report before May 8th as cic may make a draw on that day.

I tried the WES free equivalency link but there is no USA in the list. It seems very strange to me to not see USA there.

My guess is CIC will probably keep the scores above 440. Any guesses as to the next draw date? end of April or sometime in May?

Not sure about the 2015 CEC limit but keep in mind that if you apply through EE, get ITA and submit all docs by June-July you might be getting into the 2016 CEC as per EE 6-months processing time.
