    The Outland process may seem easier and quicker, but not all places are quick. As for me I contemplated applying outland from Canada, but POS is just as slow as Vegreville. Still hoping I made the right decision.

    Doesn't make sense that the new rules would cause a slow down, if anything it should help. I don't believe there was a great influx of applications on Oct 8. there has to be another reason .

    As long as they receive it before June 9 you are safe. According to CIC the OWP with PR application is sufficient to give you implied status. That being said we applied for both. Probably a waste of money but I thought better safe than sorry.
