Quebec Skilled Worker Federal Stage (After CSQ)

Thanks, I was wondering why :). Do you know if we need to do biometrics on work permit renewals for inland ? My work permit renewal will be in 5 months. I dont think by that time I will get PPR, so have to renew work permit one more time.

@ArNo84 In the tracker your have biometric request date 2019-04-06 but your residence is Canada. During early 2019, IRCC did not require biometrics for inland applicants. We have very similar timelines. Other cases in 2019-01 also did not get biometrics. How come you get the biometric request ?

    > Do u mean they can throw away the ones who didn't receive csq like before Yes they can and also can change selection criteria (if any such criteria exists:rolleyes:) anytime they wish. ( Bill 9 ) has clauses that they can reject CSQ applications even when the application is in progress. Pre...

All this "closed work permit" and "only authorized to work in Quebec" is a Quebec only thing. In Rest of Canada, once your PR application is in progress, you can apply for bridging open work permit (no LMIA or jumping thru hoops needed) and can work anywhere with any employer. If anything needs...

Yepp, thats all we can do. My 2nd work permit extension is coming up in some months. My employer complained about these delays in Montreal Chamber of Commerce. An acquaintance at the MCC said its not under their control and the CAQ govt. has a mind of its own when it comes to immigration. After...

Me too.. I should have left Quebec in 2016. Now that you almost reached the finishing point, did you order your GCMS notes and see what the real progress in your case is ? I would not trust that progress bar gimmick. GCMS is the only sure shot way to know the progress.

Quebec Skilled Worker Federal Stage (After CSQ)

Sorry no. :) Let me explain. Economic immigration PR via Quebec is determined by a quota every year. Its called Canada Quebec accord. According to that accord, ever year Quebec decides how many economic immigrants they want and asks Federal CIC to process that many numbers. Once that quota is...

My PR application got refused in AB. Can I move to Quebec and apply?

I know people who applied Express Entry from Quebec and got rejected too. Some were asked to show proof of moving out of Quebec like a moving company receipt, driving license from Ontario and even leasing agreements. The odds are 50-50. Those who got away with Express Entry have nothing to worry...

Probably 2173. PS: This is not the right thread to ask this incase you haven't read the title of this thread. You will have better response in Express Entry or CEC threads.

@PetersAdrian Golden advice there. Take it.

    Work Permit expiring Before CSQ.

Because you do have CSQ yet, you should apply for LMIA. LMIA via Quebec is a long process as you already might know. Once you get the receipt for LMIA application, you will be in "implied status" and can continue working without any problems. You will have the below caveats. 1. If your work...

If you do not know French, just stay away from Quebec immigration process. I do not want to repeat myself. Just go thru the Quebec threads in this forum and also google "Quebec CAQ government Immigration", "Bill 21". You will understand.

Arrima Applications - Invited in 2019 by MIDI

Here is a short history. Many immigration lawyers and agents will tend to disagree with this reality. It all started in 2016. Illegal border crossers started crossing in Lacolle border because of Trump's rhetoric. Liberals tend to like illegals and refugees more than skilled workers. They...

    > There should be some privileges for the users who were entering their data. Such as they should be able to see complete sheet but others only the last added cases etc. Thank you, this is a very good suggestion. I will add this feature. Currently I am working on all these. Might take some days...

Arrima Applications - Invited in 2019 by MIDI

Unfortunately no. The selection process is not transparent and no one really knows what is the exact criteria they are using to issue CSQs. They do not publish the score or selection numbers in their website. Very sneaky of them. Even if you get a CSQ, you will be bogged down by the quota cuts...
