    US outland applicants' thread :)

So, if I want to keep "one step" ahead of the game, I can read the OP-2 guide, which is what CIC uses to process Outland Apps? (btw-why would I want to read the IP guide if I'm applying Outland? Like I need help getting confused!! LOL) I've printed: IMM 3910 Country Specific Instructions and...

Case Processing Speed at Visa Offices (step 2) - Q1 2012

WOW. What a read that was! So, after reading through several posts, am I understanding this correctly- All applications for Outland processing goes to Mississagua (for Stage 1-the Sponorship approval), who then transfers it to Ottawa (for Stage 2-the PR application portion), who then can...

    OUTLAND/INLAND-WHICH IS BEST?

Thank you Charlie...I just started reading Leon's thread and the FIRST page has this same info. I'm a "show me" kind of person and I can't find it spelled out in crayon for me on the CIC site. :) So, I realize now that you can't argue with experience! FAITH!! I will have faith in those who...

I DID IT!! I READ THRU ALL 23 PAGES HERE!!! Now, on to Leon's! :P I know I have another thread where I've still got questions on the Inland/Outland thing, but thinking Outland is the way to go. And OhCanadiana, you're patience, me thinks, has been tested. As well as other! LOL I need to lean...

    OUTLAND/INLAND-WHICH IS BEST?

OhCanadiana, what you shared is under the underlined "heading" of Applying to Remain in Canada as a Temporary Resident Permit Holder (IMM 5554). So, am I making this way more complicated and more literal than I should? There’s a plethora of experienced folk here who, while living in Canada...

Case Processing Speed at Visa Offices (step 2) - Q1 2012

Why is Buffalo still listed on the CIC website when it's closed?? Being's I'm from Washington State, is it likely that my PR app would be transfered there for processing? Any way to find out what the States VO's processing time is?

    Settlement Plan-Needed for Fam app?

I read on one of the threads here in the Fam Class, that it was a good idea to have a Settlement Plan to send with your PR App. However, I can't find it anywhere on the CIC site in the Sponsor your Family section or in their "search" option. Here, I searched and it seems to be for Provencial...

    Medical

From what I've read here, I thought without the application being in, the file wouldn't be started and the medical would be lost/not attached to the app. I can get in for my medical and send it in before we even send in the Sponsorship app. Is that what I'm hearing??

    OUTLAND/INLAND-WHICH IS BEST?

OK folks, so here I am all excited about applying Outland....but then I go to the CIC website and read this: "Depending on whether your relatives live inside or outside Canada, the application packages for sponsorship and permanent residence are different. Be sure to choose the correct...

    OUTLAND/INLAND-WHICH IS BEST?

From what I've been reading today, seem most people say send everything else, even if you don't have the Police clearances yet, because the VO knows they take longer. Do you not agree?
