You should wait for your First PPR. DO not sent it with out any requested docs. NDVO will not accept any documents/passport if they didn't ask for them.

hello...U can mail to the NDVO and explain that why u need your passport.? May they will send ur passport back. As far as visa in concern i am a july applicant and still wait for my visa. I think You should expect your visa after 6-8 months.
