Same here karthicbaboo, My file was transferred to Halifax local office on Dec 23, 2014. It has been three months now, but no word at all, and then I see all these Scarborough applicants getting test dates and oaths within weeks! >:( >:( >:(

Happy New Year everyone! My eCAS is now updated to state that my file was transferred to the Halifax office on December 23, 2014, and that the Halifax office will contact me. I am very impressed with the speed with which CIC is processing things so far!

If you would read the instructions, you would see that no originals are required with your initial application for ANY document. Please send copies, and bring originals to the interview.

Stanka, did you also lose your eCAS access? Deepak, you are right, having the email AOR is comforting. They sure can't take that back from us HAHA. Hopefully in the next day or two, we get full details on eCAS.

If possible, try to go to India with your Canadian passport in hand as well, so that in case you run into trouble with the Indian authorities, you can still come back home to Canada.

Yes, I believe so. They had already started processing October applications, and these September guys had not heard anything. (You can check out their messages of frustration in the September 2014 thread, which later on turned into messages of relief) :)

I got an email AOR and my eCAS is active. My credit card was charged as soon as I paid my fees on the website, just before I applied in October.

Deepak K, looks like you and I are in very similar timelines. Although your application was sent over a month after mine, we have gotten email AORs and the limited eCAS access (No mention of In process etc) at around the same time. What is your local office? Mine is Halifax.

I got my ECAS access today. (I received email AOR on Dec 12, so this is exciting that my ECAS finally works!) Not much is on there, other than a link to update my mailing address, and the option to remove access. Nothing about whether my application is "received" or "in process". Oh well...
