Upfront medical is when you go to the doctor yourself to get your medical done when CIC hasn't yet asked for it. I didn't wait for medical request, I did upfront.

You can do upfront medical whenever you like. I did it when I had 12 months of processing time remaining on my application. Medicals are only valid for 1 year so it is better to do it when you know there's not a lot of time left on your application. Some people like to wait for Medical Request...

I called them today on their helpline and they said a decision was made for my file on Sept 26 and I should get it in my email anytime. Still waiting. Agony.

They haven't sent any nominations since last week. Their manager is "busy" somewhere so he can't sign off the papers. The officers are making calls and approving the nominations but they are not sending the certificate in the email. Agony
