I highly doubt it, I think it just has to do with who was working on your file and how soon it is passed on through the appropriate channels. Ithink it depends on backlog and number of workers at a given time. I don't know for sure...just speculating.

February 2014 PNP applicant that already submitted their application to NS CIO

This thread is for those who have already been nominated by their province (Ontario in my case) who have started the federal stage (CIO NS). I think a thread that is NS PNP specific may prove more beneficial to you. Good luck

    My landing Experience in Calgary

I hate to break it down to you but I don't see how this could "help" anyone. We all have had or will have an infamous/unfortunate run-in with authority figures at some point in our lives. But to use such an isolated incident to disparage a whole nation is laughable. Maybe the officer was rude...

Be grateful that it only took a couple of weeks to come back to you. It had been a month or more on average for others and could have been longer for you. Good luck moving forward

Many thanks Darksiders for for getting started on a spreadsheet. Is there a way to alter the format in a way that it can be viewed more easily. It is very difficult to see what's on the page and certainly harder to manipulate (i.e scroll etc). Many thanks again for the initiative

    leaving Canada.

You can travel for a short period of time but you can't live there permanently. You must maintain your residency in the province that nominated you until you receive your PR. The reason moving to a new province is tricky is because you have a new residential address and pay taxes in another...

Thank you so much for your prompt reply YiLin2013 but do you mean the photocopy of the certificate? The certificate itself says COPY which causes my confusion.

Sending a photocopy of the PNP certificate to CIO

Will a photocopy of the PNP certificate (the one with 'COPY' stamped on) result in a returned application by CIO? Please advise. Thanks

    Opportunities Ontario

Good luck! I have just received my certificate today, I applied over 6 months ago. If PNP is the best route for you, then apply as soon as you can and hope for the best (it should be 90 days in normal circumstances...but circumstances have not been normal in a long time). I had a job right after...
