I have tried to phone CIC more than a dozen times. After listening to all the pre-recorded prompts the phone rings and then tells me all agents are currently busy please try again later.... At least you know they have your file and are reviewing it. That is much better than not knowing at all...

CIC has no trouble taking your money the same week you send in your application. Processing the application is another matter entirely....

You can fill out a basic application through the website and attach your resume. I would also try Purolator, UPS and Fed Ex. It takes a while for them to get back to you but the wage is ok until you have found something in your field. As long as your basic english communication skills are good...
