This whole process is finally over. Yay

I received my card on Monday. The first business day after 45 days, right on time.

If go by the official approx. processing time, I shall get the card on Monday. Let's see if I have to call them again on Tuesday.

Put the mailing address at the time. i.e. your parents' address, friends' address... There must have been a valid mailing address that someone could reach you at the time. And briefly explain the situation on your letter.

Yeah, the weird thing is they would never ask for a photo retake for a second time. All replacement photos seem to be perfect. Wondering if they would know if you send the same photo. Lol

Lmao, that's so unlucky. I did my landing at Rainbow Bridge as well. The day I went, it was a slow day for them. One group of two people in front of me and when I left, it was empty. Everyone was super nice and the whole process took about 20 mins. I guess the refugee cases do make a difference...

IRCC notifies the states about my application. It's prolly due to some agreement on information sharing. They have to disclose the act of sharing info on GCMS notes, which I have discovered later after getting a copy of the notes.

Well, just because Canada and the States share certain information regarding immigration, it doesn't mean it will affect the application in any way. But yes, they do know if you're going through immigration in the states.

I called the agent that morning and was told the card hadn't been mailed or even minted...

I ordered my GCMS notes. And the first thing they did before even started reviewing it was to notify the US. Just saying.

Ah, I'm a bit worried now. We're only 6 days apart but my card hasn't been mailed, which may indicate I need to send them replacement photos...

Not sure about the link. And I waited 25 mins. UCI is needed for the agent to pull the file. I think it's clear that we have to wait a little bit more to find out what's really going on. We get the card or send a new photo.

I called them today, the agent was very friendly and told me the card was in final stage... and I might have to wait for another 3-4 weeks. He hadn't seen any photo request YET. And said they'd gathered all the document needed and at the moment was just waiting for the card to be minted. BUT...
