I have some high level questions. OWP is just a normal temporary work permit, so presumably you can leave and come back to Canada without worry once granted? Can an OWP expire before PR application is granted? Or is the validity for the entire application duration?

That's what we did since it is an open work permit and no job lined up.

A good few of the July 2019 folks (about 10) have gotten their AORs in about 40 days. I'm hoping to get our AOR by September 15th.
