****August 2019 - Inland Spousal PR + OWP****

$250 all in in Ottawa - no issues at all. July applicants got the Medical Pass in about 10 days since submitted, so I guess we'll see similar results in 10 days.....or due to Christmas Holiday it'll bleed into early 2020.

Thank you so much for the confirmation. In that case, the road to SIN number + working is within the next month-ish!

Just to clarify - the visitor visa (temporary resident visa) status expires Jan 29, 2020 on the passport and I am expecting OWP this month or early January as PR is processed in coming months. Am I correct that getting OWP changes status from Visitor to Worker and that no action is needed to...

Hello everyone been a while since I posted. Just wallowing in the sadness of a delayed OWP :) Regarding OHIP, with no PR or OWP yet - but having been in Ontario for over a year, am I eligible to apply, and if so, what paperwork would I need to support it - or is it not yet possible as all I...

Finally, after about 1 month of back and forth with tech support. They finally understood that it was not an issue on my end. We are pleased to inform you that the issue that was preventing you from linking your application to your account has been resolved. Please try again. Was able to...

IRCC got back to me regarding the technical issue of being unable to link my OWP. "We verified the information you provided; however, it differs from the one we have on file." Great, so the information the lady on the phone walked me through live does not match the information on file somehow...

At least in Ontario, a requirement is actually having the PR to be eligible for OHIP. I figure Quebec would be similar.

Thank you for the timeline anecdotes, I know they're probably stretching the deadlines to the absolute worst possible case, but still - argh! As for linking vs approval times - agreed, just some interesting statistics I noticed as I slowly go crazy with the numbers. I will resume patiently...

Super odd! The lady on the phone (very nice lady) offered to walk me through how to link the application to my account - and even though she literally had the information on her screen, and I put everything in as she asked me to (which all matched what I would have put anyways) including the...

I just called to follow up on the re-submitted insufficient payment for the OWP (they received it October 1) and was able to get the W application number. Attempting to link to online account now, but - the most surprising thing they told me was that I could be seeing it approved by January 29...

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/pay.asp Go here - correct a mispayment (honestly, I was scared and I put more than $15 just to be sure) - and then you will get another receipt. In my case, they included all the old documents (including old receipt) so all that I did was print the...

1040 + 100 + 155, like me - $15 short - what probably happened is like me, you paid $80 for biometrics when you shouldn't have, and the web form didn't tell you about the extra $100 as part of the $100 open permit holder fee and $155 work permit fee - putting you $15 short of 1295.

Hello folks. I've been gone for a few days and missed a few pages of discussion. Still so disappointing the slight error I did with OWP payment. I'd love to believe I wasn't pushed to the very back of the line - time will tell. For all those who linked OWP to their account - congratulations, let...

My additional payment for OWP was sent priority and arrived Monday in Edmonton - for reference, I sent the new payment to I figure I'm at the back of the line re:OWP - seems working could have maybe started in less than a month if all went well, aw, shucks! Cheers and once again good luck to all!

Yep, that is exactly what happened. I'm almost certain I answered the questions correctly, funnily enough, when I do the questionnaire now (logged out), while it shows $155 + $100, I actually don't see the $1040 so there's definitely some glitching going on with that questionnaire. Awesome...
