Did you get an e-mail or saw anything on ECAS? Just wondering if I should check everyday (like I have for 10 months), or if it simply comes in the mail!?

Me too! 10 months for us on 22nd....:( straight forward case and I'm pretty sure I had an anxiety attack today when a brown envelope came in the mail...turns out to be just someone who lived here before us owes taxes....sigh! Someday eh Jeff!??

I'm pretty sure Mississauga VO has dropped the ball on March Applicants. I keep seeing so many people getting DM from like NDVO and so on....but nothing from Mississauga.....what gives! Mine is a very standard, straight forward application. they have 62 days before 12 months expires.

Ya...completely agree.....March here. Everything is done, still waiting and will most likely continue waiting. I wouldn't know how to act otherwise. IRCC completely unfair.

I've never had a single work permit of any kind here in Canada (or any other country for that matter). I dunno....what a joke! 2 years of another income we lost!

Because you would then meet the requirements of 1 needed for application for an Open Work Permit, and apparently you only need 1!

Same here....2 years for me!!! As long as it is a Temporary Resident Permit you CAN apply online for an Open Work Permit!!! The Temporary Resident Permit that you currently hold has to be valid still for 6 months or more!

Just got home from a meeting with our MP. They will be checking to see if there are ANY updates since we sent in our application. NOTHING has ever changed on our ECAS/CIC Webpage since the day we linked it and our application was received. We were just told that yes my medical passed in June...

How wonderful! My husband and I had to live apart our first full year of marriage. I am still just living here with him on a Visitor Record now. We've been married 3 years....and....still....waiting.....:(
