Have you checked their application deadline for your course? What SOP? For the visa or for the university? I think it took something like a month or so for the status to switch from "Preliminary review required" to "Under review by the department".

Thank you for your response. I will try to write a good SOP. I do have actual career goals and aspirations which, if talked about, may convince them that I am a genuine student. I am hoping that my good results of my previous degree will show them that I am a sincere student.

Looks like nobody knows the answer to this question: Does the money have to be there for 4 months? I know that they want to see the last 4 months of bank statement. However, does the money have to be in the account for the entirety of that 4 month?
