You need 8 in Listening and 7 in speaking in order to get the 6 points. In your case, you'll be awarded 5 points.

I think he mistook Chemical Engineering for Chemistry.. You are right Pratik, you get 6 points as your degree was obtained in India. You have overall 46 points so you are lacking 3 for the interview threshold. Regards

Yes, it is considered as an equivalent Quebec degree so you will be granted 12 points .

I agree, the new rules say they won't receive any applications if your area of training does not give you any points, it'd be a waste of money since application fees are non refundable.

Sorry, but that's what it used to be, nowadays, you can only claim the points that are demonstrated through the exams results. The fact you're enrolled in a French course doesn't necessarily mean that you will pass the delf. There you can read how language proficiency points are awarded now...

Are you aware that they will refuse your application if you don't reach the interview threshold? Apparently you have 47 points and 49 are needed. Remember also that application fees ($750) are no refundable. I'd suggest you to wait until you pass the A2 so you'll succeed.

Dear mkshah, I'm afraid a Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering does not give any points at all as area of training, so Shree123's wife is not getting these 2 points, so their application is actually 5 points away from the interview threshold.
