Going to be hard to do it in one day, most of us had sponsorship and that took me 4 months at least. Good Luck

Asking for moving expenses AFTER contract signed?

Is this one to me? I work in recruitment and have been doing it for over 12 years, just for the record and I don't want to jinx anything but I haven't signed anything yet, just working through the admin. I know a fair few people around the world who can make intros and also visited to interview.

Buy and sell a house while on a Tourism Visa

Think we're talking about Canada now? and the loop on flipping in HK is closed unless you want to pay an additional 10% stamp duty or buy a company that owns the property (which is a loop they are closing next)

Buy and sell a house while on a Tourism Visa

I don't think the debate is about whether it's possible or not. Of course if he has the money he can buy them outright no problem at all. The debate was around the timing and he would have to be the luckiest guy in the world to have the process work in his favour

Travel document infotmation multile entry prtd

Ah right, yes I landed in September 2016 but it was a soft landing just to activate my PR. I'm moving officially in February 2017. As I wasn't in Canada long enough to receive my PR card I applied for a PRTD for when I travel back. I have actually got my PR card waiting for me now in Canada but...

Asking for moving expenses AFTER contract signed?

I think you have your quotes mixed up it was actually me who suggested the above to showmanshow not the other way around. I've been offered CAD 6,500 relocation so I guess my company isn't standard

Asking for moving expenses AFTER contract signed?

the way i did it was to ask for a contribution, as you know, you're prepared to move anyway so any amount is more than nothing

Asking for moving expenses AFTER contract signed?

You're right it's difficult to ask after you've signed but I don't think there's any harm in asking. Just find the most diplomatic way of asking if they offer any assistant with relocation or say you couldn't find the section with regards relocation (this depends on how long ago you signed) In...

Travel document infotmation multile entry prtd

This may not be much help but I applied for a PRTD recently in Hong Kong and was granted a multiple entry PRTD and I didn't even apply for one, not sure the reason why.

Thread for Outland LONDON, UK Applications!

In my case my online profile never worked, it kept telling me I wasn't in the system, this was despite having everything in writing. In the end I just left it as I knew having access would just mean I checked it the whole time, was a nicer surprise to just get the result earlier :)

Looks like CIC are really clamping down on PRTD's

I guess they are covering all their bases, I was a little suspicious at first because it started: Hello, I always think these are phishing scams as they don't have a name and if it were from the government you'd expect: To whom it may concern or Dear Sir/Madam

Buy and sell a house while on a Tourism Visa

Haha, I think there are too many technicalities in this scenario which would mean the buyer would lose money rather than make any. Plus HK has made it almost impossible for this type of thing to happen. Even in my own case at the moment, I have to hold on to a property for another 2 months...

haha so true, they could have added a 'possibly' and a 'potentially' in there for good measure as well

Buy and sell a house while on a Tourism Visa

I don't think this has anything to do with haters. The guy is suggesting buying a property for 3 months in one place and then another one in another place for 2 months and then leaving. Do you think that's remotely possible?
