Apparently，we're in the same boat,which means we're all stuck in background checks. I heard people say it might take from 6 months to 2 years to finish BC. I got my first GCMS notes last month, nothing weird but criminality still in progress since my application was received. So I guess...

For me, It's been 16.5 months and my application is still being processed. It seems background check is really like a black hole that nobody knows how long they will take to finish their works.

The GCMS I ordered in March says my Eligibility not started, security not started, Criminality in progress since AOR, which is February 2014 and the only section I have passed is medical. This is really frustrating.

Ok It seems there's nothing I can do except wait.... :(

So does this processing time include background checks ?

My application has passed the processing time already, I called cic, they told me they are still waiting for the results of investigations. I don't know how long it will take. The funny thing is I asked that agent does this new processing time apply to my application, he said yes.....

I received this letter one year ago,dude.

I've been through re-assessment, re-do PCC....up to now, nothing happens. My MP said he spoke to CIC, the reason why it takes so long for processing is because CIC is waiting the results of Background Check from other department. Are any of you in the same boat?
