Yeah May seems to have so little movement. April has had a lot of COPR's completed. Even some June, July, August and 1 or 2 September applicants have had COPR's. May seems to have little movement re: COPR'S, frustrated and now the VO's processing times have gone up. This process seems never ending!!

Agree with others here. This is not a time to reduce paperwork. You will need every shred of evidence you have and as much evidence as you can get hold of. The more you have the better. An appeal is certainly not a process where you cut down on paperwork.

Hey May applicants, Has anybody heard any news recently? May seems to be a really slow month for any news or any COPR's. Wishing everybody the best of luck and hope that there is a huge purge of May applicants being approved between now and Xmas. Bonitanita, Have you heard anything yet...

Thread for Outland LONDON, UK Applications!

Hey nmford, You can certainly enquire when you deem fit. I believe the 6 month time frame for yourself (going by the spreadsheet) will be Dec 26th 2012, that is the date your sponsor got approval. My date for enquiring is January 9th 2013. As I said you can certainly enquire before then (I...

Thread for Outland LONDON, UK Applications!

Thanks James, I do have all that stuff to do but I can't keep living my life like this. I never ever wanted to arrive in Canada before my COPR, now I see little alternative. I could be sat here in theory in February saying the same things. I can't wait any longer and like yourself, I shall come...

Thread for Outland LONDON, UK Applications!

Hey nmford, Here is the link you require. Note: It says at the very bottom of the page "This office will not respond to case status enquiries within the processing times above" So it will have to be exactly 6 months from when they received the file. How we know when they received the file is...

Wow the VO processing times have been issued and it has gone up again. This is like a never ending nightmare. When we applied it was 7 months, now it is 9 months. >:(

Thread for Outland LONDON, UK Applications!

Hey Nmford, like I said 24.5 weeks is ridiculous. A full CSE is still a CSE but London VO is bound by the terms set out to them to try to reunite a family within 6 months (Check the London website not the CIC website) on that website once 6 months has elapsed then you are within your rights to...

Thread for Outland LONDON, UK Applications!

Thanks Lauren, I guess I did benefit quite a bit from a speedy 1st stage approval but as the saying goes "swings and roundabouts" and I have definitely seem to have been hit by a shocking second stage wait. Especially when I see on the spreadsheet an application that was received in London...

Thread for Outland LONDON, UK Applications!

Trying very hard not to get stressed out but when looking at the spreadsheet, this 2nd stage is becoming a joke. I have just hit 19 weeks since 1st stage approval and apart from a very small reply to an E-mail I sent 1 month ago saying my application was under review, I have not heard anything...

From your post it sounds like your file has been Transferred from Mississauga and on to Islamabad. I also assume the you are a Pakistan Citizen. Unfortunately Pakistan does have 1 of the longest wait of all the VO's. You might want to refer to the CIC website but anything going through Islamabad...

October 2012 Applicants! Here's our thread!

Hello Mandy, I know what the CIC website says regarding London VO. What I was answering was Ross' question in theory about how long it maybe. Those 8 months quoted by CIC are for a case that would not be in good order or may involve a non visa exempt person going through London. If you look at...

What's the point of holding our passports?

There are 2 reasons I guess why they are held so long, the first being they need the passport to perform all the appropriate background checks apparently in ND that is quite time consuming. Also another possible reason and 1 that I believe strongly is, they don't want people who know their...

October 2012 Applicants! Here's our thread!

Hey Ross, I think generally going by our spreadsheet at the EARLIEST 100 days after sponsor approval. It can be anywhere up to about 160 days going by previous applicants. On average for this year it is around 200 days for total process. That said Miss has sped up so in theory so should average...

Hi Leon, Computergeek and others....... I was wondering if you could help me with a few things....... I am still waiting to receive my COPR from London VO, the things I would like to ask about are. If it has not appeared before mid December then I will travel to Canada on a tourist visa and...

Hey, Sorry to expand on the previous post but it is worth noting that Conjugal at best has about a 2%-3% success rate, I don't believe your circumstances lets you qualify for Conjugal partnership. CIC are really tough with this application, inconvenience is not considered an excuse i.e if...

Sponsoring a sister-in-law (under 18) - what are the conditions?

Yeah this 1 is a no-goer. There are so many factors why this will be declined. Firstly you have to have resided in Canada for a certain period of time (I believe 5 years it maybe 3) before you can consider sponsoring anybody. Your husband will not be allowed to sponsor his SIL. Unless your...
