Well it doesn't seem like they could doubt the authenticity of your relationship. I would hope that officers are hired who hold the values of Canada and not whatever country they work in. Also, it was CPC Mississauga which decides where to send the application so the backwards culture in Germany...

Hi GG and B, Yes, we were really happy that ours was sent to Ottawa! I was dreading that it would be sent to Vienna since, like you say, it seems like a black hole for applications. I wish you a lot of luck!! I really wonder what their criteria is. I see that there are a number of applicants...

Paris office currently has a processing time of 9 months, so... hopefully that means you're almost there. Maybe no news is good news! In other words they won't request any additional documents or interview and you'll get PPR very soon :) Wishing you lots of luck!

Hi all, Our application was sent to Ottawa (instead of Vienna) for processing. Hopefully this means a faster processing time! I've read that they are sending the "simple/straight-forward" cases to Ottawa to help with the backlog at other VO's... but does that also mean our case will be processed...

Did you already receive the SA letter/email? If not, that's a very long time to wait! Maybe it means they're finally actually starting to work on your file. Some VO's have a very large backlog which means applicants wait a long time (months and months) before someone even looks at their file :o...

Thanks :) Both ECAS and myCIC haven't changed. Both say the PA application is in process (since Oct 3rd). Medical results 'received' in ECAS and 'passed' in myCIC.
