Yes it happens , I have seen many times that applicants with good band score got their result in less time . One of my friend applied on 25 July and got his result by 15 august (he scored 8 bands) but he had a very strong profile .

Kpu usually takes 30-45 days to provide you offer letter. Also it depends upon students profile , my friend who got 95% in+2 got his offer letter in 30 days whereas I got my kpu offer letter in 45 days , so hope for best
