but if you are a Govt. employee and your passport is issued without police verification (only NOC is required) then it will take a week...

PCC is issued on the same day if your passports are recently issued... and max 1 week if they want Police verification report....

Actually CIC require PCC from your SSP/local District Police Station..... and PSK also deliver you the PCC from SSP/local District Police Station... So there is no point of confusion... Both are equally valid and its mentioned on the PCC that this document is only for immigration purpose...

PCC obtained from PSK is equally valid as your local/district police station... Because PSK deliver you the PCC only after the police verification report which would be done by your local police station if your passport has not been recently issued (6-8 months)...
