    Voluntary proof!

You should wait for the message which will describe exactly what the CIC requires you to provide them, and it will also have clear instructions on how to submit it.

    Submitted paper application...what's next?

It will take 6-8 weeks until you receive the Acknowledgement of Receipt. You will get this via email, and it will include your Application Number and UCI, and from there you can link it online with MyCIC and receive all future communications through your account.

Thread For applications Through SYDNEY (AUSTRALIA) Office

Hi everyone, I have changed the protocol for joining the Sydney VO WhatsApp Group (for Family Class PR Applicants) to try and reduce the overwhelming amount of SPAM we have recently been encountering. From now on, you can no longer join the group using the link I posted earlier (it has been...

IMM 5257 - is it optional?

I will, it's just odd that they list it under 'optional documents', along with a letter of explanation (also optional).

    Schedule 1 (IMM 5257) - do I need it?

Hey everyone! I am currently in Canada on an employer-specific work permit. I have applied for Permanent Residence (Family Class), which according to the current IRCC processing times won't be finalized until late 2018. I have been offered a new job, and I am in the process of applying for a...

    Inland Spouse Sponsorship (Quebec)

Yes, I was right. I just found this in the Sponsor's Guide: "SPONSOR’S OR COSIGNATORY SPOUSE’S DECLARATION OF AUTHORIZATION (A-0527-A) If you or your cosignatory spouse has formerly separated or divorced, or if one of you has children from a previous union, you must fill out this form to...

    Inland Spouse Sponsorship (Quebec)

I believe that form is only if your spouse has been married before. You are basically authorizing them to investigate whether they in in default of any child support payments etc. I remember reading about it on the Quebec immigration website.

    Inland Spouse Sponsorship (Quebec)

Yes absolutely! I seems weird so say they are accompanying you as they are sponsoring you, but yes you must do this!

    Inland Spouse Sponsorship (Quebec)

Yes, definitely. When you are on the page with the documents for Kit A, change the language to French (click button on top right corner) and the French versions of the documents should appear. I struggled with this as I don't speak French (and my partner wasn't much help!), but if you have the...

    Help me please?

When you say the Montreal office, are you referring to your CSQ application? Sponsor approval occurs by the IRCC in Mississauga, which yes takes approximately 3 months from when you send the application (i.e. ~ 2 months for AOR + ~1 month for SA). Are you sponsoring your spouse/common-law...

Do i need to include imm0008dep

No. This is from the CIC website: "If you have more than five (5) family members, you must complete the Additional Dependants/Declaration (IMM 0008DEP) (PDF, 424.19KB) form for each additional family member in order to include everyone in your application."...

    Clarification needed regarding few questions...

    1. No, just the Principal Applicants signature is required. 2. You don't need to provide every single conversation, just a snapshot of your conversations from different periods throughout your relationship (i.e. I would put some from when you first started dating, then some a little bit into...

    Inland Spousal Query

I was in a similar situation as you, and decided not to risk it. I have my brothers wedding in October, so I decided to go outland instead. If you apply inland, you are not supposed to travel outside Canada during the processing of your PR application. There is always a small risk that you may...

what are te potential issues getting PR my GF/wife if she is pregnant ?

That's not true. The radiation dose of cosmic rays from flying is MUCH less than that of x-rays from a chest x-ray. Radiation dose from flying: 0.003 mSv Radiation dose from chest x-ray: 7 mSv Even if you were a frequent flyer, the risk from flying doesn't compare to that of a chest x-ray.

what are te potential issues getting PR my GF/wife if she is pregnant ?

Just keep in mind that the medical exam as part of the PR process requires a chest x-ray, which is not recommended take if you are pregnant due to risks to your unborn child (and the largest risks are in the very early stages of pregnancy - so even if you are trying to get pregnant do not get...
