There seems to be less chances of you making the CAP as the official figures are at 624 and most probably these are only for applications till July end. But keep your hopes open..

Buddy just send them a mail on grievance.redressal@hdfcbank.com, enquiring about the status of your DD and they will reply with status within 2 days.. No need to call nd listen to their excuses.

HDFC call centre will not be able to help you. The best thing you can do is send a mail to grievance.redressal@hdfcbank.com and provide details of your DD. They will reply back within a day or two and will notify you the status of your DD.

I had sent directly through DHL, so had called them directly. But you might have to call firstflight & ask them for the name of person who had received it. They will have that info as DHL proof of delivery will be with them

Even my application delivered by DHL through a third party on 14th August had no name of the person who had received it at CIC. After calling them got to know that "DAN" had received it. Maybe even ur application was received by him too.
