Dont get a lawyer, you can do it on your own just follow the check list read the question carefully dont leavee anything blank. i Had a lawyer and i had the worst experience ever. i had to redo my application on my own and everything is going well. good luck :)

did you now you can send an email to your VO office to see where they are with your application. ever since monday ive been having problems with my last paperwork they (paris vo )asked for it just hope theres no more mistakes. they told me thats the only problem to finish my application.

you dont technically live in canada but the application will ask you if you'll be coming back to live in canada and the date. and answer the questions truthfully. so no you do not reside i canada yet.
