Hi!

I am Canadian but came to Panama 3 years ago to study Spanish. While in Panama I met my partner (he is Panamanian) and I decided to stay. My status here is a "tourist" Iam not a resident or citizen. My partner an I have been living together in Panama for 2.5 years. I leave Panama about 2 times a year to visit my family in Canada. My partner comes.

I still hold a Canadian drivers licnese and passport, Canadian bank accounts etc.
But I do not work, neither in Canada or Panama. My partner supports us, but I do have a large savings in Canada.

When I fill out the sponsorship papers it asks me if I reside in Canada. So my question is, do I?

Since I only spend about 1.5 months of the year there with my common law partner visiting my family and the rest of the time we spend in Panama. But I am technically a tousit here.

you dont technically live in canada but the application will ask you if you'll be coming back to live in canada and the date. and answer the questions truthfully. so no you do not reside i canada yet.

No, you don't reside in Canada. It doesn't matter that you are a tourist in Panama.
