    the fees was increased effectively from 6th Feb. Charging fees is an operational matter of CIC and can be increased (or decreased) without passing a law. however, to implement new changes, the proposed bill needs to become a law which can take anywhere between 6 months to 2 years. hope this helps.

    You shouldnt be worried about receiving the book or letter as your e-case is already updated. Just get an electronic copy of the book and start preparing for your test. good luck.

    I dont think so. The applications those are already submitted will be tested based on current rules. All new rules will be applicable to new applicants only. This is my guess based on the understanding of how laws work in Canada.

    I am a long way from where you are in your citizenship process but can confirm that you can take your daughter with you at the oath ceremony. In fact it is encouraged that you bring friends and family for this occasion.

    I thought its only the Scarborough office where you get 2-4 months for oath after the test. It seems from your post that st. clair is the same thing. It is quite different in Mississauga though. Good luck for your oath ceremony.
