    may 2015 applicants for citizenship

Just passed the test in Montreal. Everyone else explained very well what the process was like. I took no more than 5 minutes on the actual written test and 8 minutes or so for my interview with the officer. The longest time was waiting to be called. The officer went through my passport stamps (I...

Finally got my AOR this morning at 8:05 am by email. I'm the last of the May 6s to go green :)

Thanks for that, puts me slightly more at ease, although I've never heard of them giving options.

    may 2015 applicants for citizenship

But aren't there cases of people having their application returned and having to apply as a new applicant?

    may 2015 applicants for citizenship

Hey guys, now that it has been announced that the new rules come into effect June 11, this makes me want my AOR really badly. It would be terrible if your application gets returned for incomplete after the rules come into effect. :o

Classic Question: Would you guys send out application on exactly the 1096th day?

This is so crazy. I applied with 1108 days, and although I have 17 trips to the US, I am pretty confident in my dates, as I have all my boarding passes and used the US exit/entry tracker (which had one date wrong). I just got back my CBSA report and there are 5 instances where it said I arrived...

    CBSA report

I wondered about that myself. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to have it on you in case they ask for it.

Would you recommend Canada post (registered) for sending the application ?

I wouldn't. I had a bad experience sending with tracking where I couldn't track my package, but realized that my package was received on time a few weeks later.

    How to count days

This might be a dumb question but I just want to make sure I will be minimizing mistakes when I apply for citizenship. When travelling by plane, if the itinerary of my flight shows leaves point A at 8:40pm on Aug 1 and arrives Canada at 12:05am Aug 2, this means I would have to count Aug 1 as a...

ALL SPOUSE APPEAL CASES COME HERE AND JOIN US PLZ

I'm located in Montreal and was recommended to a lawyer in Toronto. I spoke to her and she said that I could file in Montreal or Toronto, but would suggest Toronto as their firm already knows the people over there. Has anyone filed in a court not in their location? I'm wondering if so, why not...

ALL SPOUSE APPEAL CASES COME HERE AND JOIN US PLZ

Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to file an appeal through Vancouver even if it's not my location as long as I retain counsel from there? Does anyone know if you are forced to go through a location in your area? I'm wondering because of the timelines that I see.
