Bhai I applied in Calgary as well. I don't know what did they do to my application. Haven't accepted me but haven't rejected me as well! Plus they I have paid them $130 and now they don't answer my emails as well. BTW, I did my BE from NED.

i think they look for better reasons to reject than low ielts score. i attached my toefl score only because it was good. but none of the other people going with me attached ielts (they didn't even wrote it) and few of them already have their visa stamped.Submitting IELTS is recommended but not...

Check whether the university to which you are applying to needs IELTS or not. If not than no worry at all. Simply do not mention your IELTS score as you would be exempted. Do the same while applying for visa.

Yeah GRE is a must for McGill. I do not know about your field in detail as I am a Petroleum Engineer and will be joining U of A for MEng in PE. But generally what I have read on the internet suggests that U of A, U Calgary are good for PE, Civil etc. but that's just my own opinion. Try the same...

If u meet requirements, then IELTS is not a problem. Basically IELTS/TOEFL are English proficiency tests and i you meet the criteria than chances are that nobody will reject u on its basis.

Insha Allah it will be a medical call. Normally if they reject somebody before medical, they keep the passport for a longer period (this is my own analysis).

You can get admission in top universities of Canada with this GPA. Try to apply in University of Toronto University of British Columbia, McGill, University of Alberta, Waterloo etc. You can get a scholarship as well.

Were you instructed to send them a revised letter? Also, why do they need a revised letter? :-[

This means that u should wait. I got the same reply and after 10 days, I got my medical call.

That's very sad to hear. They make such mistakes without realizing that somebody's future is at stake.

University of Alberta is also not that expensive but the cheapest ones are in Saskatchewan.
